How to become an energetic person with an early morning start!

I know what you may be thinking, I don’t have time in the morning!
Rushing from the bed to the bathroom and then the kitchen, there is only the time to grab a coffee and go. And what happens next? Still half asleep, already drained and moody, you start the engine in your car and drive to work. Does it really have to be like that?

What if you push yourself to wake up 15 mins earlier? In this 15 minutes you have the time to prepare fresh lemon juice mixed with water.
Don’t rush, remember you have extra time to fully indulge your morning drink which will flash out the toxins from your body and boost your immunity. This simple drink is the BEST way to begin the day and set you up for success.

Here are some of my rituals that became game changers to my daily routine

1. Do NOT pick up your phone to press the snooze button. Just wake up and start your day earlier that you would normally do.
2. Don’t check your phone messages , Facebook, emails when you are still in bed.
Prepare your mind-set for the day. Checking the phone immediately may causes stress, anxiety and bombards you in the morning with unnecessary information. I encourage you to give yourself 30 minutes in the morning, to yourself before diving into your smartphones.
3.Morning gratitude – look at your mirror in the morning: smile and say loud 5 things that you are grateful for. When we are more relax our endocrine system serves us better releasing the hormones which help us to be more positive. Learn how to appreciate simple things, even the fact that you have running water in your tab. Some people in Congo have to walk 8km each day to get 3 litres of water.
4. Morning stretch for the body and mind. You don’t have to run 5K in the morning to get advantage of exercises. Take small movements to get the energy flowing through your body. Simple stretches, 5 times maybe more and you will notice what a difference that will  make.

5. Don’t forget to kiss goodbye your love ones and always make sure they know how much you care for them.

These are my morning rituals that I am constantly improving.
