Primrose, a modest miracle of nature

Introducing the latest addition to my collection of health miracles of nature…Primrose!
This rather inconspicuous plant growing in fields has great healing properties, which are increasingly became popular in the pharmacological industry and cosmetology.
The primrose, or more specifically its seeds, is rich in unsaturated fatty acids (EFAs) – linoleic acid (LA) and gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), which depends on the correct course of many life processes.
Primrose oil are also other fatty acids – oleic, palmitic and stearic – and additionally phytosterols, protein rich in sulfur amino acids and tryptophan, enzymes, vitamin E, zinc, selenium, magnesium and calcium.
What the modest miracle can do:

Easy slimming
Primrose helps digestion and prevents fat storage. GLA acid activates the function of brown adipose tissue, which is intended to burn unnecessary fat and heat it. You can add ground mussel to morning porridge, smoothie or scrambled eggs.
Improves skin condition
Evening Primrose Oil has long been hailed by the cosmetic industry. Unsaturated fatty acids affect the functioning of membranes and intercellular spaces, maintain an adequate level of hydration of the body, prevent loss of water by the outer layers of the skin. The primula also helps in the treatment of various types of skin problems – from acne and psoriasis to psoriasis.
Helps in rheumatic diseases
Acids contained in evening primrose oil help in arthritis, relieve rheumatic pain, stimulate cartilage and joint regeneration, heal wounds and prevent arthritis.
Strengthens immunity
Concentrated gamma-linolenic acid and omega acids in the evening have a significant effect on the immune system. Their high levels provide good protection against lung, bronchus, throat, eyes, acquired allergy or asthma. In addition, rich in evening primrose oil also has a detoxifying action – it removes toxins from the body and creates a specific protective mechanism that protects against free radicals and external toxins.
Protects the cardiovascular system
The already mentioned gamma-linolenic acid acts anti-aggregation on platelets – it improves the flow of blood in the blood vessels, lowers blood pressure and thus reduces the risk of coronary heart disease and stroke.
Lowers cholesterol
This list does not end. Linoleic acids and omega acids lower the level of so- bad cholesterol (LDL), prevent its oxidation and deposition in the form of blood vessel walls. At the same time, they normalize good cholesterol (HDL), which removes excess fat cells from the veins and arteries. This reduces the risk of atherosclerosis.
Supports cancer treatment
Gamma-linolenic acid fights carcinogens and limits their ability to reproduce. In addition to the standard drugs used to treat breast cancer, it leads to faster self-harming of carcinogenic cells and strengthening of healthy cells of the body, which facilitates the fight against the disease.
It improves brain function
Fatty acids – precisely DHA, which is found in evening primrose oil – are a component of brain cells. Correctly high levels of this acid have an effect on the functioning of the brain – good mood, good thinking, memory. It is also helpful as a supplement to the treatment of multiple sclerosis, scleroderma, schizophrenia.
Alleviates women’s ailments
Fatty acids and magnesium bring relief in menstrual disorders and menopause. It has been shown that the high levels of these substances have a beneficial effect on the hormonal balance of the female body, which contributes to the well-being of the body, alleviates irritability and mood swings, alleviates menstrual pain, reduces breast tenderness and hot flashes.
